Good Evening Class below is the homework assigned for each class. Please scroll down to your corresponding grade and the assignment will be there for you to copy and answer. Remember vocabulary words are written down on index cards following the procedure we spoke about in class.

Grades 7th and 8th

Please take the time to follow through with your usernames and passwords on the  Mc. Graw Hill website. All the information you need to log on in and access your online electronic textbooks is located within your google class room. Take the time to study as for next week you will have chapter 9 test on Position and Motion, Speed and Velocity & finally Acceleration. We will begin to review tomorrow and Monday. If you have any questions on behalf the material tomorrow Friday is the best day to ask away.

Here are some study tips and guides to follow in the text book.

Please review all three lessons for chapter 9. Study Vocabulary words presented on each lesson within the chapter and go over chapter 9 study guide  and review questions on pages 322, 323,324, and 325. 

Also practice Average Speed, Velocity and Acceleration problems we did on workbooks.

Grade 6

We watched two important videos on Chemical Reactions and Gravity presented by a well known scientist Bill Nye the Science Guy. Please write a full 1 page paper on those two topics. Explain what is a chemical reaction, what is gravity and facts about the topics expressed in the video.

Review for chapter test next week on Nature of Science. So please look into studying your vocabulary words and chapter study guide and review questions on page NOS 30- NOS 31. Please keep in mind that you can now access your books online through the Mc. Graw Hill Website.

Size- independent property - some physical property of a substance do not depend on the amount of matter present: Melting Point & Boiling Point.

Size- Dependent properties - some physical properties, such as mass and volume depend on the size or amount of matter 

Mass- The amount of matter in an object 

Density- is the mass per unit volume of a substance.

Melting point- the temperature at which a substance changes from a solid to a liquid is its melting point.

Boiling point- the substance at which a substance turn from a  liquid to a gas.

Volume- is the amount of space something takes up the unit for volume is (mL) milliliters
