Acceleration- A measure of the change in velocity at a given time.

Note to the entire 6thGrade class please take the time to read the Integrated Science Reading Essentials Workbook, pages 172-174 and (WRITE OUT THE QUESTIONS) in your homework notebook. Please do not write inside the workbook, as we need to preserve the workbooks for the following years to come! Answer the following questions #5-8. Page 175 #1-3, please draw out the diagram.
Vocabulary:
Size- independent property - some physical property of a substance do not depend on the amount of matter present: Melting Point & Boiling Point.
Size- Dependent properties - some physical properties, such as mass and volume depend on the size or amount of matter
Mass- The amount of matter in an object
Melting point- the temperature at which a substance changes from a solid to a liquid is its melting point.
Boiling point- the substance at which a substance turn from a liquid to a gas.
Volume- is the amount of space something takes up the unit for volume is (mL) milliliters
