Entrance Ticket Tomorrow on Chapter 10.  Lesson 1

Please take the time to review vocabulary words on Gravity and Friction. Familiarize yourself with the Type of Forces, Strength and direction of forces, What is gravity?, The Laws of Universal  Gravitation, Figure 4 on p.333 and Fig 7. On p 336 and friction, what causes friction.

Grade 6

Homework on Freckle on The Transfer of Energy. I assigned the Reading article portion not the writing so please take the time to read and get a decent score for taking your time!

Grade 5

Create a Magazine ad or newspaper- style ad for a product that is heterogeneous mixture. The advertisement should name the product, include a drawing or photo, and feature a brief description that explains what the product is, why it is a heterogeneous mixture and how that might benefit the consumer. For example, Trail Mix combines different kinds of food that combine to make a tasty treat.

Ecosystem- Living and nonliving things that interact in the environment.

Resource- is a material that living things use to survive.

Reptile- They are distinguished by having a dry scaly skin and typically laying soft-shelled eggs on land. Animal of a class that includes snakes, lizards, crocodiles, turtles.

Properties- special characteristic of something.

Paleontologist- a scientist who study the remains of plants or animals that lived in the past.

Prototype- a testable model.

Extinct- no longer in existence; that has ended or died out

Anatomy- the science dealing with the structure of animals and plants.
