Homework for all Grades October16, 2018 5:01 pm

Good Evening Class below is the homework assigned for each class. Please scroll down to your corresponding grade and the assignment will be there for you to copy and answer. Remember vocabulary words are written down on index cards following the procedure we spoke about in class.

Vocabulary:


atom - small particle that is the building block of matter 
chemical change - a change in matter in which the substances that make up the matter change into other substances with different chemical and physical properties 
compound - substance made of two or more elements that are chemically joined in a specific combination 
element - substance made of only one kind of atom 
heterogeneous mixture - a mixture in which the substances are not evenly mixed 
homogeneous mixture - a mixture in which two or more substances are evenly mixed, but not bonded together 
individual - single; separate
matter - anything that has mass and takes up space 
mixture - matter that can vary in composition 
molecule - two or more atoms that are held together by chemical bonds and act as a unit 
substance - matter with a composition that is always the same

Grade 4


Study the resources provided to you from your class notes, Mc Graw Hill Website, Human Health lesson online packets, for chapter One especially all the vocabulary words given to transition on over to your index cards. 

Tomorrow will be your exam on Vocabulary Words. Mc Graw Hill online access to your E-book has chapter review quizzes and exams for each lesson covered. Those are good resources as I pulled some questions from those review sources.

Textbooks E-online or hard copies to take home study chapter introduction chapter on Scientific Method and chapter 1 LESSON 1-5. 

Test break down 

10 QUESTIONS FILL IN THE BLANK questions (WORD BANK) using chapter Vocabulary words.

8 MULTIPLE CHOICE questions on chapter Vocabulary words.

1 QUESTION presenting a scenario on plants and food, following a short answer question.

1 Regent Practice passage with 3 short answer question in response to the reading passage. 

Please revert back to the vocabulary words document posted over the weekend to study the Vocabulary words more thoroughly.

Grade 3

Please read the super science article on sticky business, write a paragraph summary on the article using prototype (vocabulary word) in the summary text.

EXAM 1 Test will be on Friday so please study Vocabulary sheet. 

Go over plant and animal life cycle, Review notes on animals life and plants life within your notes. Review ecosystems, food chain, food web, inheritance and how plants grow (Germination).
