Study for tomorrow’s quiz on Chapter 12 lesson one and two. I uploaded a pdf on earth’s resources elaborating more on Earth’s non-renewable and renewable resources. You may use this resource as a review to look out for renewable and non-renewable resource questions.

Transition Vocabulary words on to Index cards- check on to your google classroom to get the definition of the remaining words
Vocabulary-
Biodiesel- is a type of fuel. This fuel is made from used vegetables oils or animal fats. It is commonly used for trucks, buses and tractors.
Hydropower- uses flowing water to spin a turbine activate a generator to further produce energy.
Geothermal- Power comes from the heat below the earth’s surface
Step-up transformer- increases the voltage of current electricity to travel farther distance. An example of a step-up transformer is a Transmission Substation.
Step-down transformer- Allows energy to enter through our homes in a safely manner. Examples of a step-down transformer is a power substation.

Take the time to read a science article whether it’s within a book or in newspaper, maybe possibly an online source and be prepared to talk about it in class tomorrow.
